This year, we will have the opportunity to learn about amazing new things, while practicing and improving our letter and letter sound identification, number writing, shapes, colors, addition, subtraction, time, name writing, and reading! Some of our themes include: Back to School, All About Me, Family and Friends, Names and Numbers, Johnny Appleseed, Bats and Scarecrows, Autumn Changes, Pilgrims and Indians, Evergreens and Magic, Snow Animals and Snowflakes, Love and Friendship, March Wind, Weather, Rainforests, Recycling, Insects, Plants and Seeds, Bunnies and Chicks, Zoo and Barnyard Animals, Oceans, Dinosaurs, just to name a few!!!!
Please remember to send your child's folder to school every day, to check it each night, and to talk with your child about their day. Please also discuss the school motto: Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best!
I would love for students to also know that they can always come talk to me if they ever have a problem or concern, and that all the teachers here at Leclaire are here to help.
Please remind students to keep hands and feet to themselves, and that we never hurt anyone on the inside or the outside. We are all friends and should treat one another the way we would like to be treated. If ever in doubt about making a good choice, think to yourself: "Would my mom/dad/teacher like it if I did this?" or ask yourself: "Am I in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing?"
In order to make this a fun and successful year, we want to think with our heads and our hearts!!
Mrs. White's Classroom Philosophy:
My wish is to provide children with a fun and memorable Kindergarten year! It
is my hope that we are creating life-long learners who are
independent thinkers. Not only do I hope that our students
will have a successful academic year, but that the students in my class will
also learn the value of hard work, cooperation, respect, compassion, honesty,
and forgiveness. Together, we will build a solid foundation for the future of
these student's education.
Please contact me with any questions or concerns at [email protected] or via
the school's phone number, 618-656-3825.
